Boobs On Bikes & Erotica Lifestyles EXPO 2009 - Auckland, N.Z.

The eleventh Boobs On Bikes parade to be held in New Zealand (and the 7th in Auckland since the very first one in August 2003) will kick off at the top end of Auckland’s Queen Street at 12:45 pm on Wednesday September 23rd, 2009.

Then, continuing the festivities this weekend, is the 10th anniversary of New Zealand’s Erotica Lifestyles Expo, also being held in Auckland from Friday September 25th to Sunday the 27th.

Many Adult Stars will be in attendance, including USA ‘Megaboob’ star Chelsea Charms, the woman credited with having the world’s largest augmented breasts, who is in town for both events.

Boobs On Bikes

“This year’s Boobs On Bikes is tipped to be the biggest ever if the number of New Zealand women and men applying to participate is anything to go by.” says Michelle Ruebe, one of the organizers behind the controversial parade, which sees topless women and men on the back of motorcycles, in convertible cars and even on retired army tanks parading down the main street of New Zealand’s largest city, which is lined with tens of thousands of spectators for the event.

“We already have more than double our previous greatest ever number of participants” says Ruebe “and more are applying every day. We even have some participants who will be on horseback, which will make it easier for people to see them”.

“This year we are aiming for at least 100 female and 100 male people to take their tops off and get involved. If that happens we will be donating $7500 to the American charity Clitoraid, which assists women in Africa who have suffered the horrors of female genital mutilation. We will also have collectors out in the crowd and hope to raise much more for charity”.

“This is a great coup for our 10 year milestone show – we plan this to be our biggest ever event with more stars than ever before, more variety, more booths, more entertainment and now more, at least in terms of volume, more breasts” said show owner Steve Crow.

Chelsea Charms achieved her large breasts through the use of polypropylene string breast implants. On her website, Charms says her measurements are 153XXX-23-34, and that her breasts each weigh 26 pounds (11.8 kg). Only a small number of women in the world have such implants.

The past year has not all been smooth sailing for the so-called ‘Crow Porn Empire’ with the recession biting deep and profits plunging lower than Chelsea Charm’s neckline. But being nothing if not resilient, Crow is determined to recover and he see’s a successful 2009 Auckland Erotica Lifestyles Expo as an important part of that process. To make sure that happens he is lining up the biggest pool of adult entertainers ever to travel down under, augmented by some unique international acts including Australia’s top hypnotist Tony Banfield and the world’s only penis painter, the world renowned ‘Pricasso”.

VIP Guests include Ron Jeremy, GEMO the celebrity million dollar robot, the cute but very naughty Audrey Hollander, Michelle Maylene, Brooke Haven, Phoenix Knight, movie director and producer Otto Bauer, The Vixen Neo Burlesque Dancers, as well as many more international and local stars. All live on stage – come and be a part of their shows.

“While it is true circumstances beyond our control forced me to liquidate part of my business recently”, says Crow “Erotica is going ahead as planned and the adversity has only made me more determined to make this our biggest show ever”. “It is my plan that Erotica will expand internationally in 2010 with negotiations already well underway with an overseas venue” he added.

“Erotica has been part of the Auckland expo calendar since 2000. The September 25-27 extravaganza of stalls, samples and advice is New Zealand’s largest health, sexuality and lifestyle exhibition” says organizer Sandy Watts.

“In addition to the entertainment and erotica for sale, the exhibits promote everything from books to photography as well as some that educate the public about sexual health issues. Dedicated to information, the expo is not only about live stage shows and jelly wrestling, but about sharing the latest breakthroughs in research, development and products. From lingerie to motorized stimuli, it’s all here. This event incorporates all facets of all things adult.”

“Erotica is like no other event in New Zealand – restricted to people over 18 years, it enables adults to shop, be entertained, relax and discover new things.”

“An independent survey of visitors has found the expo attracts mostly couples or groups of friends, mostly aged between 24 and 44 yrs and mostly earners that are above the average income bracket. The most exciting and interesting statistic from the last two events showed the percentage of women attendees is now over 50 percent. So we are moving in a very exciting direction with our exhibitors and entertainment geared to match the audience.’’

Watts said the expo will be a place to learn, see, understand, try, discover, demo, touch, hear and understand new products and services in a fun, couple-friendly environment. There’s even workshops: Pole Dancing Introduction, Lap Dancing for beginners and more!”

“Many middle-class married couples attend the expo not simply to gawk at pornographic actors, but to challenge the sensual side of their relationships. We can sincerely say people view the expo as a place to recognize the positive aspects of their relationships.”

And For The Ladies: there is New Zealand’s own ‘The Men of Steel – All Male Strip Revue’, to allure and excite you on stage, and did we mention Ron Jeremy?

**You may recall, just last month the New Zealand Breast Cancer Foundation refused an offer for a pledge of support from the Erotica Lifestyles Expo and Boobs On Bikes owner Steve Crow for $5,000, which caused him to withdraw the pledge and offer a pledge of support to Clitoraid and the women of Africa instead, for $7,500. Interesting Email’s were sent back and forth, click here to read those email’s.
